CANETSC12X40 is virgin activated carbon designed fortreatment of cane sugar liquors. In addition to the greatdecolorization power available in this high surface area carbon,CANETSC has pH controlling ability as a result of theincorporation of magnesite within the carbon granules. CANECAL is used in both fixed and moving beds for continuousde-colorization, after which the carbon can be thermallyreactivated for repeated use. The particle size of 12x40 meshhas been selected to give a high rate of adsorption and lowresistance to flow with liquors of medium viscosity.CANETSC is made from selected grades of bituminous coalcombined with suitable binders to give superior hardness andlong life. Produced under rigidly controlled conditions by hightemperature steam activation, this carbon provides highsurface area, large pore volume, high density, and a porestructure optimal for the adsorption of color bodies fromsolution
